You may have heard about Prison Valley already, it’s *kind of a big deal* in (that giant mass media monopoly known as) interactive web documentary! As well as a disturbingly compelling story and beautiful cinematography, Prison Valley really maxes out on the capabilities of semantic web 2.0, with remarkable features like being able to chat live with prison screws while you navigate the narrative. Another reason for its wild popularity is the truly transmedia essence of the project, encompassing a production blog, TV version and iPhone app in addition to the interactive element. Oh and a photography show which launches tonight in Paris at the Since Gallery – creative outpost of Upian, the company behind Prison Valley (and many other splendid interactive docs).
