French-Swiss creative duo Ben & Julia just dropped a charming puppet-animation-analogue hybrid clip for a ditty called 1973 by French pop-rockers Tahiti Boy and the Palm Tree Family. A month-long process of puppet-building, felt-tip painting, animating, and shooting in an Alpine forest leaves us with an irresistibly cute composition of mysterious marine creatures, singing trees and a Tellytubby-esque singing sun, peppered with plush mushrooms that thrash out to the guitar riffs like proper little (fluffy) punks. Rock on puppets!
