Unbeknown to the lofty curators of the global contemporary high-art bastion known as le MoMA, a secret exhibition is inaugurating this Saturday, taking over all nine floors – including an extra virtual 7th floor! Dutch augmentalist Sander Veenhof has teamed up with native New Yorker Mark Swarek to create a complete exhibition throughout the entire museum, invisible to all but AR-savvy smartphone users. Powered by the brilliant Layar Augmented Reality browser (Dutch invention!), the secret show is part of the rather great-sounding Conflux art and tech geek fest which is happening in the East Village this weekend… Sigh.
