Could it be that the Dutch public got it right yet again on Waste Land following their vote on The Cove which grabbed the golden boy statue last year? Let’s keep our fingers tightly cruzado for Vik Muniz’s celebrated Brazilian catadores project, poignantly captured by filmmaker Lucy Walker – which may have just have managed to turn garbage not only into art, but into actual gold!
