Autodocumentary on The Future of Art

Liking this project by Gabriel Shalom of KS12. Shalom created an “immediated autodocumentary” on The Future of Art for the Transmediale media art festival in 2011. Some mind-boggling forecasts about art –in the  widest sense of the word– are discussed in this little film. Visionary creators like Aaron Koblin (data viz wizz), Vincent Moon (Take Away Shows), and Shapeshifter Eric Poettschacher talk about the relationship between art and technology, the crowdfunding revolution, and modern nomadism. But we particularly love the fact that the process of making this film is so in tune with its subject matter. Shooting, editing and screening took no more than a week. And Shalom used social media sites –Flickr, Soundcloud, Vimeo– as the main resources for the audiovisual materials for his “video sprint”. Support the project if you can…
