Neighborhood Films is a collaborative collection of short, episodic online documentaries, collected by long-time San Francisco valet and film-maker Daniel Robin. The growing trove of cinema vérité micro-gems started as a personal project of Robin’s, as he shot some of the wacky characters who spiced up the many dull nights he spent valet-ing.
Daniel opened the project up for online submissions, inviting snippets and series from neighborhoods around the world, and we interviewed him about it in 2007.
A new episode has just been added to the 9th and Folsom series, which follows the remarkably dry highs and lows of day-to-day life at a gay porn production company in San Fran.
