If you were wondering what Spike Jonze‘s been up to lately – this is it! His latest movie, Where the Wild Things Are (due out in October 2009) “represents years of work from hundreds of different artists”, it says on the movie’s inspirational blog We Love You So. Jonze’s latest movie project is an adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s beloved 10-sentence children’s picture book from 1963 about a boy in a wolf’s outfit, who enters a fantasy world of his own making where he is made king of the “Wild Things.” Nice to see that Jonze stayed pretty much true to the original look of Sendak’s cutesy creatures.
