Director Garth Jennings, famous for beautiful music videos like Fatboy Slim’s Right Here, Right Now and REM’s Imitation of Life (we have them right here for you) has made a feature film called Son Of Rambow. It’s a semi-autobiographical movie about two schoolboys who make their own camcorder version of the 1982 hit movie Rambo: First Blood. In an interview with BBC radio Jennings talks about his ludicrous eighties childhood and his obsession with the maverick title hero: “That first Rambo movie really blew our minds. It felt so close to home. We were always playing in the forest and here is this guy who takes mucking around in the forest to the extreme. With just a knife and sticks he takes on 200 men. It was so resourceful”.
