Pretty Cool People Interviews
(2007 – 2010)
Submarine Channel has been creating artist profiles since 2003, while the editorial format every few years or so. In 2007, we upped the bar for online video interviews with our acclaimed Pretty Cool People Interview series. More like mini-documentaries, these interviews captured creators in their natural habitats – be it the streets of Barcelona, the confines of a darkened visual effects studio, or the lofty heights of a skate park. PCP interviews offer viewers an insight into the creative processes of established and upcoming creators across the spectrum. The dedicated website is still accessible here.


Dutch Profiles
(2009 – now)
The virtual Bible of Dutch design has landed, courtesy of DutchDFA! Dutch Profiles is a  precious and still growing collection of mini-docs about the Netherlands’s most influential, innovative and just plain splendid graphic, product, fashion designers – not to mention trailblazers of the celebrated Dutch architectural tradition. Viva Hollanda!


Watch the Titles Interviews
(2009 – now)
Profiles of and interviews with acclaimed film title designers recorded on location in Los Angeles, Amsterdam, London, Paris and Berlin. This series is part Submarine Channel’s title design project Forget the Film, Watch the Titles. 9 Profiles of title designers are included on the Watch the Titles DVD-set.

Story Mundo (2010 – now)
Story Mundo explores the transmedial (r)evolution of story across the film, animation and game sectors via walkthroughs, reviews and interviews with key players of the new generation of creators that push the cultural potential of digital media. Story Mundo interviews are recorded at high profile events and festivals, or via Skype.
