Having heard nice things about the DVD’s from Stash, we ordered some copies from their backlist to check out for ourselves. We were especially curious, because on two of their latest issues work from creative studios based in our hometown Amsterdam is featured: Buro Knapzak and PostPanic. With high expectations, disappointment lurks, but the contrary was the case. Stash brought us pure eye candy: sweet and shiny.
STASH is a monthly video showcase on DVD full of animation, VFX and motion graphics. Each issue holds an selection of innovative commercials, music videos and short films. Tucked inside the DVD case is a 40-page companion book of colour stills, editorials, credits, links and tech notes.
We had a great time with Stash, it’s perfect study material, analyse it shot-by-shot with friends or co-workers. If you order Stash 50 make sure you see some of the latest work from PostPanic. On Stash 51 you’ll find The Ambient Life from Buro Knapzak, a crystal-clear animation about how information technology will enhance people’s lives in the future.
